Clearing out some storage boxes from the top of the wardrobe, I found one full of spiral-bound books. One was entitled 'Les dessins de VMLOJ 89 - édition à tirage limité, présentée aux étudiants de la "113 de 89" '.

I bound 25 copies of that book, courtesy of an unwittingly generous employer. But that was my only input - the creativity was all yours, and the cartoons were all yours.

20 years on, some of them still made me laugh out loud: "We'll go from baaa 36, if you would be so kind ..." and "On TV, the gnus are presented at 6:30pm".

We didn't have Google then, but we do now. And I find, to my delight, that 20 years on, you're still cartooning. And they're still just as quirky, and funny. That makes me very happy.

We didn't have email then, but we do now. I'm at arthurapplecartATgmail.com

Looking forward to hearing what happened in your life after Macq Uni.

You've still got it Viv! I love your cartoons! I notice that woman is driving North American style, by the way!

I have just sent you an email with a request for an urgent cartooning commission - so please check your email and let me know if you're up for it!

Much love,

Felicity.

I have that book as well.
No diminution (?) in talent from that time.

I seem to remember when you were very small in Portugal, and learnt the word "Cao", meaning 'dog', but pronounced 'cow'. You confused many a friend by pointing at a dog and saying cow. You knew what you meant, but it seems things haven't improved that much...
